Appointments commitee unanimously approves Kissi Agyebeng as Special Prosecutor

Kissi Agyebeng has been unanimously approved as the new Special Prosecutor by the Appointments Committee of Parliament.

The approval comes a few hours after his vetting by the Committee in Parliament today.

Mr Joe Osei Owusu who is the Chairman of the Committee disclosed that Mr Kissi Agyebeng performed well during the vetting hence the quick recommendation for approval.

“There is no way I can stop corruption. But, I’m going to make corruption very costly to engage in”, he said.

Agyebeng was nominated by the Attorney General, Godfrey Dame Yeboah as Ghana’s next Special Prosecutor.

He is a law lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ghana and engaged in private law practice.
