Ghanaian Artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Mr Logic has said that aside from the buzz there’s nothing extraordinary about Bob Marley and Sarkodie’s recent collaboration.
He made this claim during an entertainment discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz show monitored by browngh.com.
Sarkodie’s feature on Bob Marley and the Wailers’ ‘Stir it up’ song has been a major topic in the entertainment space as the majority of music enthusiasts say the rapper’s verse on the song was below par.
Some music enthusiasts say a Reggae/Dancehall crooner deserved to be on Bob Marley’s song rather than Sarkodie.
Mr Logic has made a controversial remark about Sarkodie’s song with Bob Marley.
Touching on it on the United Showbiz show, Mr Logic said:
“Aside from the buzz of it being Bob Marley there is nothing extra about it. ..If you listen to the progression and the cordial progression of the original song and what MOG played he only improved on the bass lines and the kicks, it’s the same serial that was improved on production.
Now you don’t feel Sarkodie’s presence over because you cannot feel the African vibe. If Sark was able to command the production and said that ‘I am a Ghanaian, I am known for my Twi rap and this is how our progressions go, I want the song to be made to feel more African and Ghanaian for me’.Then you would have said that it sounds different. Then you would have had a rendition but now is a refix.
Aside from the buzz being Bob Marley, there is nothing extra about it.
