Armed robbers attacked the KK Gold buying agency in Tarkwa, and CCTV footage of their attack has been made public.
According to the video, three of the robbers entered first, two of whom had backpacks on.
At gunpoint, they demanded that the employees lay down, and they got their way. One of the workers wearing a blue shirt was kicked in the head while attempting to resist the robbers. Others who attempted to resist the robbers also took blows to the head.
In search of gold, the robbers started searching the office. The other two went to where the money sack was kept while the other three continued their search. The workers were shocked when they emerged carrying the money and dragging the sack across the ground due to how heavy the money and gold were.
On three motorcycles, they made off with gold weighing 408.5 grams and cash worth GHC613,000.00 (six hundred and thirteen thousand Ghana cedis).
