E/R: Chiefs Advise MP as He Tries to Apologise for His Reckless Statement “Inhabitants of Okorase are Villagers”
Many in the Municipality have lambasted the Hon Member of Parliament, Fredrick Opare Ansah for his unfortunate and reckless statements he and his followers are adopting as a campaign strategy ahead of next year’s Parliamentary primaries. The recent one is that of the infamous statement that “inhabitants of Okorase Community are villagers”. Indeed other communities have put their bushy beard inside water knowing not when and what the Hon MP and his team would descend similar statements on them.
The Hon MP upon realizing the harm caused by his outfit arraigned to meet the distinguished Chiefs of Okorase to render an unqualified apology for such reckless Statement. Information gathered is that the Hon MP was not spared by the Chiefs. One of the sub Chiefs stated categorically that this unfortunate statement by the Hon MP is not the first by him and that, Amanin the Constituency Assistant Secretary and Alhaji Mohammed, the Constituency Nasara Coordinator have made same reckless statements.
Amanin and Alhaji Mohammed are alleged to have said that “you didn’t get any better person to contest Hon Opare Ansah than someone from a village”? This statement among others seems to have eaten up part of their calmness resulting in the chief descending on the Hon MP heavily describing him as not exhibiting the character traits of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo Government.
The Hon MP for Suhum Constituency, hon Frederick Opare Ansah thought cameras and microphones were going to scare the Chiefs of Okorase (villagers indeed he thought) carried sophisticated cameras and microphones from his NDC criminally rented media to scare his so-called villagers so he could ride smoothly on them. The Chiefs and elders indeed thought him they are not villagers as he described them.
The Suhum MP and his team went away with shamefully painted on their faces when the Chiefs advised them to be courteous and show respect to villagers in his Constituency for they were the same people who brought him and the NPP into power.
It could be recalled that the Hon MP and his team strongly opposed the appointment of one Esther Nagai, the current Constituency Deputy Women Organizer for the only reason that she is hailing from a village. If not for the consistency of the Women Organizer who insisted that Madam Esther Nagai is the one she can work with to canvas votes for the party, they had rejected Madam Esther Nagai.
Communities like Nankese, Akorabo, Akote, Obonmofo Densua, Adidiso, Brong Densuso, Praprababida, Snar, Tei Mensah, Krobom, Besease, Kopoanya, Trio, Troto, Kromameng, Gamameng, Betenase, Okanta, Aponopono, Gyato Zantrama Zorh, My Name, obretema and other communities should not encourage such reckless statement to be meted out to them by any individual or group of persons.
A kpankpan taxi driver and the passengers on board from Suhum to Kpankpan described the Hon MP to be ungrateful to call his own constituents he had superintended on and voted for, for the past sixteen years as villagers. “It’s time the Hon MP is called to order”, the driver said.
However, the media tried their best to engage the Hon MP to confirm the allegation, but he never responded to the media
