Ghanaian director, filmmaker, and Director for Creative Arts at the National Commission on Culture (NCC), Socrate Safo has revealed that the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) never stopped Nigerians from shooting movies in Ghana.
Speaking during a discussion on United Showbiz hosted by MzGee, Socrate Safo said the Nigerian producers were cheating some Ghanaian actors so they discussed with the Nigerian producers/directors concerning that.
He made such remarks while reacting to the allegation levelled by actress Jackie Appiah that FIPAG stopped Nigerian filmmakers from shooting movies in Ghana.
“We never stopped any Nigerian from coming to shoot movies in Ghana” Socrate Safo said to the shock of Jackie Appiah, James Gardiner and host, Mzgee.
Jackie Appiah challenged him stating that Nigerian filmmakers are always interrupted by FIPAG whenever they are shooting movies in Ghana which made them not show interest in working in Ghana.
