Mercy Chinwo is a Nigerian gospel music artist who was born on September 5, 1990, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

She began her musical career at a young age, singing in church and participating in various music competitions. She rose to prominence after winning the Nigerian Idol Season 2 in 2012.
In 2017, Mercy Chinwo signed with Eezee Conceptz, a gospel music record label in Nigeria. She released her debut single “Testimony” in 2015 and has since released several hit songs, including “Excess Love,” “Chinedum,” “Akamdinelu,” and “Obinasom.” Her debut album “The Cross: My Gaze” was released in 2018 and received critical acclaim.
Mercy Chinwo is known for her soulful and powerful voice and her ability to write and perform songs that inspire and uplift. She has won several awards for her music, including the African Gospel Music and Media Awards (AGMMA) for New Artiste of the Year in 2018, and the CLIMAX Awards for Artiste of the Year and Gospel Song of the Year in 2019.
