Her Majesty the Queen died from old age, her death certificate has confirmed.
The Queen is understood to have passed away peacefully on September 8 aged 96 after doctors became concerned about her health, keeping her under close observation.
According to her official death certificate, the Queen passed away at 15:10pm from old age.
Her death was registered by the palace’s official doctor Douglas James Allan Glass.
It is thought that Princess Anne was the only member of the Queen’s close family who was with her at the time of her death.
Prior to the announcement of the Queen’s death at 6:30pm on September 8, senior members of the Royal family including King Charles and Prince William travelled to Balmoral to be with her in her final moments – however, it appears they were too late.
