Ghanaian highlife crooner Kwabena Kwabena has tagged Shatta Wale as ignorant over his claim that Ghana is not affiliated with a particular genre of music.

Recall that Shatta Wale during his state of the industry address on June 2, 2021, proposed that music stakeholders should come together to settle on a unique genre that can sell Ghana globally.

Kwabena Kwabena in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM called Shatta Wale ignorant for claiming that Ghana doesn’t have a unique genre.

According to the ‘Adult Music’ hitmaker, Shatta Wale and all other Ghanaian artists are doing highlife and need to be educated.

Kwabena Kwabena stated emphatically that Highlife has always been the genre Ghanaians are identified with globally.

“Shatta Wale is ignorant about highlife. Highlife has always been there, Shatta Wale should revise his notes and come again. Let’s respect that. The world knows this genre already.If you are ignorant don’t say anything, we should respect the Veteran highlife musicians” Kwabena Kwabena disclosed.
