Ghana National College was founded by the late Dr Kwame Nkrumah in Cape Coast on the 20th of July 1948 for 8 students who were expelled from St Augustine’s College by the British Colonial Administration.
A category A school, Ghana National College is ranked among the first 20 academically successful schools in the nation.
Ghana National College has staunch alumni with the name NANANOM.
Current students look up to these past students who hold tremendous positions in the country.
The NANANOM boasts of media personalities like Nana Aba Anamoah and Abeiku Santana and Charlotte Osei among others.
Ghana National College’s beautiful uniforms consist of a maroon skirt and jacket accompanied with a white shirt for the ladies.
