Veteran Ghanaian rapper and music producer, Appietus has fired GHAMRO to rescind their decision of visiting churches for copyright royalties.

Recall that the media reported a few days ago that GHAMRO is about to storm churches in Ghana to collect royalties from pastors because they use songs of musicians without paying anything.

Well, after Appietus has heard of this, he has reacted saying it is useless to embark on such a journey especially this particular time.

According to him, what is more important now is introducing a system that will aid musicians to get money online each time their songs are played or streamed just as it happens in Europe.

The ace music producer noted that though urging churches to pay copyright royalties is essential, this is not the right time to implement such policies because there is a lot more which needs to be done.

He made this disclosure on Nana Ama McBrown’s United Showbiz show aired on UTV.
